Waves recognize Bono Riau

Activities are worth a try when adventuring to Riau is surfing the waves bono. This wave is very famous because it is located on the river, to be exact Kampar River.

Bono waves is the phenomenon of waves with a height of five meters that occurred in the downstream Kampar, Kampar peninsula area, District of Teluk Meranti, Pelalawan, Riau.

Bono waves can roll with a distance of 30 kilometers without a break. Near sources of ocean tides, Bono can reach a height of five meters and less and less on the inland rivers.

Disparekaf head of Riau province, said Usman Fahmizal bono waves can be found throughout the year.

"Pokoknya saat bulan purnama itu gelombangnya besar," said Fahmizal after a press conference Launch Calendar Riau Provincial Tourism in the Ministry of Tourism, Jakarta, Thursday (03/17/2017).
